Local Member of the Scottish Parliament for Mid-Scotland and Fife, Roz McCall, has today exposed the ‘shocking’ lack of services in NHS Fife.
Humza Yousaf’s Covid recovery plan has been branded an ‘abject failure’ following revelations that key facilities such as GP open access to X-ray, parenthood education in women’s services and older adult day hospitals in Central and West Fife have not re-opened since being stopped during the Covid pandemic.
Far too many patients in Scotland are still languishing on a waiting list as a result of key NHS services remaining closed.
Roz McCall MSP has said that “this is an unacceptable insult to my constituents in Mid-Scotland and Fife” and has demanded that these services are re-opened as soon as possible.
Local Conservative MSP Roz McCall said: “It is frankly unacceptable that, four years on since the start of the pandemic, these vital NHS services in Fife remain closed.
“I hear far too often about the long waiting lists that patients in Fife are having to endure, this cannot continue.
“The Scottish Government must commit to re-opening these crucial services as soon as possible.
“I will always stand up for local people who are suffering because of these closures and I will continue to fight for them both locally and at Holyrood.
